So Close Yet So Far
The accepted beauty of nature and the great outdoors feels extraordinarily distant, when due to a pandemic the public must stay at home wherever possible. Feeling this distance particularly strongly, I sought to find aspects of colour and interest in my confinement. I balanced my vivid images full of colour and texture alongside desaturated monochromatic images I took during my daily exercise. This contrast highlights how the scenes o fthe outside are somewhat faded in my mind due to my distance from them, while my proximity to the internal causes the imagery to be vibrant and wholly present.
